Job summary

ProCare Lakewood Emergency in Dallas seeks a PRN ER Technician to support high-quality patient care under the supervision of an RN. You will perform delegated basic nursing functions and assist with vital signs, intake/outtake, and data collection in alignment with department policies.

Eligible candidates include EMT-Bs with BLS or Paramedics with BLS/ACLS/PALS. High school diploma or GED required; EMT-B/AEMT/EMT-P preferred to enhance flexibility and coverage.

Qualifications

• EMT-Basic must have BLS.
• Paramedic must have BLS/ACLS/PALS.
• High School Graduate/GED required.
• EMT-B/AEMT/EMT-P preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN in delivering patient-centered care.
• Obtain and record patient data (vital signs, intake/output, height/weight).
• Support nursing staff with routine tasks within scope of training.
• Document patient information per policy and charting standards.

Job Description

• We are seeking a PRN ER Technician to join our team to help deliver high quality care to our patients. The ER Technician will help provide patient centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living. Under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN), the ER Technician will assist the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the ER Technician’s skills/training and the needs of the department. The ER Technician will assist the nursing staff in obtaining and recording patient information such as admission data, vital signs, height and weight, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, intake and output, and other patient information as outlined by policy.

Qualifications

• An EMT-Basic must have BLS
• A Paramedic must have BLS/ACLS/PALS
• High School Graduate/GED
• Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT-B), Emergency Medical Technician Advanced (AEMT), Emergency Medical Paramedic (EMT-P) PREFERRED.
