Job summary

ProCare Highland Park Emergency is seeking a PRN ER Technician to assist the nursing staff and provide patient-centered care in the fast-paced emergency department in Dallas, TX. Responsibilities include documenting admissions data, vitals, and other patient information per policy.

The ideal candidate holds EMT-Basic with BLS and may have Paramedic credentials (BLS/ACLS/PALS) with a HS diploma or GED. This role supports RN supervision and works within the ED team to ensure quality care.

Qualifications

• EMT-Basic with BLS certification required.
• Paramedic with BLS/ACLS/PALS preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• EMT-Basic / EMT-A / EMT-P certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with patient care under RN supervision.
• Record vital signs and patient data as directed by policy.
• Support ED team during patient intake and monitoring.

Job Description:

• We are seeking a PRN ER Technician to join our team to help deliver high quality care to our patients. The ER Technician will help provide patient centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living. Under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN), the ER Technician will assist the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the ER Technician’s skills/training and the needs of the department. The ER Technician will assist the nursing staff in obtaining and recording patient information such as admission data, vital signs, height and weight, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, intake and output, and other patient information as outlined by policy.

Qualifications:

• An EMT-Basic must have BLS
• A Paramedic must have BLS/ACLS/PALS
• High School Graduate/GED
• Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT-B), Emergency Medical Technician Advanced (AEMT), Emergency Medical Paramedic (EMT-P) PREFERRED.
