Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Cytotechnologist (PRN) in Missouri to prepare and analyze slides, detect abnormalities, and assist pathologists. The role emphasizes quality control and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced lab setting.

Qualified applicants have a Bachelor’s degree, ASCP CT preferred, and 1–3 years of Cytology experience. The position entails patient-sample processing, slide preparation, and collaboration with the pathology team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cytotechnology or related field required.
• C.T. (ASCP) certification preferred.
• 1–3 years of Cytology lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stains, mounts, and prepares slides for reading by Cytotechnologist or Pathologist.
• Examine cell samples to detect abnormalities and cancerous changes.
• Prepare and analyze specimens such as PAP smears and FNAs to detect conditions.
• Provide relevant clinical data or findings to assist pathologists in reports.
• Maintain QC and regulatory documentation to meet CAP requirements.
• Attend mandatory education and complete Performance Improvement activities.
