Job summary

Responsibilities

• Maintain specimen integrity and patient identification of all samples examined
• Screen and evaluate cytology slides
• Perform rapid assessments of fine needle aspirations
• Enter and report results into the laboratory information system
• Adhere to quality control activities and regulatory compliance
• Participate in training and competency assessment
• Engage in proficiency testing and continuing education as applicable
• Maintain patient test result confidentiality per HIPAA
• Perform other duties including specimen processing and data entry
