Job summary

A-Team Solutions is seeking a Cytotechnologist for a local government facility in St. Louis, MO.

The role requires performing a full range of cytology procedures and ensuring timely turnaround under the supervision of the Chief, Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service. The cytotechnologist will screen gynecologic cytology specimens, assist pathologists, and maintain compliance with CAP and CLIA standards while adhering to safety and quality regulations.

Qualifications

• Shall possess basic proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of procedures in the Anatomic Pathology Section of a university-affiliated integrated healthcare system laboratory.
• Screen gynecologic cytology specimens for premalignant and malignant conditions and assess adequacy of specimens.
• Assist pathologists and physicians in collection of fine needle aspiration cytology samples and in cytology laboratory procedures.
• Maintain quality control, document results, and ensure timely turnaround times per CAP/CLIA guidelines.
• Follow safety protocols and regulatory guidelines for handling diagnostic specimens.
