Qualifications

• 60 semester hours with 14 biology hours and 12 months of cytotechnology training.
• Alternate: 60 hours with 12 science hours (8 biology) and 12 months cytotechnology training (pre-1977 option).

Responsibilities

• Evaluates microscopic slides and provides cytologic interpretations per criteria.
• Coordinates cytopreparatory functions to meet turnaround targets.
• Assists in intra-operative consultations and coordinates tasks.
• Performs quality control and maintains required documentation.
• Participates in instrument evaluation and ongoing education.
