Job summary

The Wesleyan Independent Living in Georgetown, TX is seeking a Culinary Aide for PRN or as-needed shifts within our senior living community. You will assist with basic food preparation, follow production sheets, and help the kitchen staff maintain high standards of cleanliness and service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proven experience as a Prep Cook or in a similar role is a plus.
• Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to follow recipes and production standards.
• Ability to use basic math skills to complete required forms and schedules.
• High volume, complex foodservice operations experience is highly desirable.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation and ingredient handling.
• Prepare food items based on production sheets following established quantities and recipes.
• Complete daily production worksheets and waste log sheets.
• Safely operate a variety of kitchen equipment and tools.
• Complete orders from steam tables and grills for residents at multiple stations.
• Support chefs and kitchen staff during meal prep and service.
• Wash and store dishes and equipment.
• Assemble, operate, and clean dish machine.
• Clean and sanitize trash containers.
• Provide prepared food of the highest quality for residents.
• Assist cooks and waitstaff as requested.
• Complete other tasks as required by leadership.
