Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia seeks a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and provide supportive patient experience. Join a collaborative care team in a respected health system.

The role requires ARRT certification, BLS, and at least 1 year in Radiology; you will perform CT with attention to ALARA and patient safety, while contributing to efficient department workflow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
• 1 year radiology experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures per department guidelines and capture high-quality images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain low patient dose (ALARA).
• Adhere to infection control schedules and sanitize rooms/equipment.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and identify patients before exams.
• Explain procedures using AIDET and address patient questions to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety during the visit.
• Perform exams with contrast using proper venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Position patients, apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
