Job summary

HealthPro Heritage in Ohio seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (PRN) to support therapy services in long-term care settings at Eliza Jennings. The role emphasizes implementing treatment plans under an OT to enhance daily living skills and patient independence.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate’s degree in OTA, NBCOT certification, active state licensure or eligibility, and prior OT setting experience; new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program from an accredited school.
• NBCOT certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Current state licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Experience in an OT setting preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized therapy based on treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist, including activities to improve daily living skills.
• Track and document patient progress, maintain accurate records, and report changes to the OT.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide holistic care and educate patients and families on exercises and equipment.
• Lead or assist patients with exercises and activities of daily living to promote independence.
