• Education: Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program from an accredited school.
• Certification: NBCOT certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• Licensure: Current state licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a COTA.
• Experience: Previous experience in an occupational therapy setting is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized therapy under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, including activities to improve daily living skills.
• Track and document patient progress, maintaining accurate records as required by the facility.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and educate patients/families on exercises and strategies for independence.
• Lead or assist patients with therapeutic activities, creating a positive environment to encourage engagement.
