Job summary
Apploi is seeking a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our family of skilled nursing facilities and rehabilitation centers, dedicated to resident-centered, quality-focused care. You will support the OT in delivering treatment plans and help residents regain independence in ADLs, with collaboration among residents, families, and the care team.
Ideal candidates are graduates of an accredited OTA program with current COTA certification and state license.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current COTA certification and state license in good standing.
- Experience in long-term care or geriatrics is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Occupational Therapist in delivering treatment plans to help residents regain independence in ADLs.
- Carry out therapeutic activities to improve residents' strength, coordination, mobility, cognition, and self-care.
- Monitor and document resident progress with accurate notes and reports.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the care team.
- Follow treatment protocols and safety guidelines under the OT's direction.
