Job summary

Adept Nursing & Rehab of Central City is currently hiring a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our therapy team in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting.

You will assist residents with therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, helping them improve daily living activities, mobility, and independence. We value compassionate, patient-focused care and offer scheduling flexibility and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) program.
• Current state COTA license or eligibility to obtain.
• Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Assist residents with therapeutic activities to improve mobility, strength, coordination, and independence.
• Provide training in activities of daily living such as dressing, grooming, and bathing.
• Document resident progress and communicate updates to the therapy team.
• Maintain a safe and supportive therapy environment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support resident care plans.
• Educate residents and families on therapy techniques and adaptive equipment.
