Job summary

Care Network is seeking a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support our skilled nursing facilities and rehabilitation centers. You’ll work under the Occupational Therapist to deliver treatment plans focused on helping residents regain independence in ADLs in a collaborative, resident-centered environment.

Ideal candidates have completed an accredited OTA program, hold current COTA certification and state licensure, and bring strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current COTA certification and state license in good standing.
• Experience in long-term care or geriatrics is a plus but not required.
• Excellent communication, time management and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in delivering treatment plans to help residents regain independence in activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Carry out therapeutic activities to improve residents’ strength, coordination, mobility, cognition, and self-care abilities
• Monitor and document resident progress through accurate and timely notes and reports
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and care team members
• Support in training residents and families on techniques and use of adaptive equipment
• Follow established treatment protocols and safety guidelines under the direction of the Occupational Therapist
• Participate in care team meetings and collaborate to ensure a holistic, resident-centered care approach
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and Residents' Rights
• Perform other duties as directed by the Occupational Therapist or Director of Rehabilitation
