Job summary

PruittHealth - Walterboro in Walterboro, SC is seeking a licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to help patients improve functional abilities and independence in daily activities. This role supports post-acute care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and therapy services within a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, guiding exercises, documenting progress, and educating patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited OTA program.
• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state of practice.

• Experience in rehabilitation or post-acute care preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under OT supervision.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and functional tasks.
• Guide therapeutic exercises and activities to improve independence.
• Observe and report patient progress to the Occupational Therapist.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation.
• Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment.
• Support interdisciplinary care planning and treatment goals.
