Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join the Therapy Services team in South Carolina. The role supports the evaluation and treatment plan under a supervising therapist, delivering compassionate care to residents.

You will document progress, follow policies, and participate in ongoing trainings to advance your practice. Ideal candidates hold a state license, graduate from an ACOTE-accredited program, and are eligible to take NBCOT.

Qualifications

• Valid professional license in the state of practice.
• Graduate of ACOTE accredited program.
• Eligible to take or has passed NBCOT exam; foreign-trained must meet US requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of the occupational therapy care plan and treatment to patients as prescribed by the evaluating therapist and physician.
• Perform clinical tasks, and communicate and document tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
• Follow established policies and procedures as related to the scope of practice.
• Recognize and respond to priorities in patient care.
• Complete all required orientation, in-services, and trainings successfully.
• Perform other related duties as necessary and as directed by supervisor.
