Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification.
• Completion of a Clinical Lab Assistant program.
• Immunization proof or waiver and PPD testing per policy.
• Valid driver's license and eligibility to work in a healthcare facility.
• Apprenticeship pathway available for unexperienced candidates.
• Must participate in on-call coverage and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform identified lab modalities with independence and minimal supervision.
• Maintain supplies and inventory for departmental functions.
• Observe and assist students and new staff as needed.
• Demonstrate professional judgment and effective communication with clients and coworkers.
• Handle on-call responsibilities and hospital communications during scheduled hours.
• Maintain confidentiality of personal and sensitive information.
• Perform clerical duties including documentation of critical communications.
• Contribute to coverage levels for holidays, evenings, and weekends.
• Assist in department clerical and support tasks as needed.
• Support skill training and competency assessments for modalities.
