Job summary

Banner Health Torrington is seeking a Child Development Associate for a PRN varied shift to support a caring, educational program for a group of children at Torrington Community Hospital. You will help plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and promote a safe, engaging classroom.

This role requires teamwork, adaptability to daily changes, and a love for working with children. A high school diploma is required, 18+ years of age, with one year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• One year of experience working with children preferred.
• Must comply with registration regulations and health requirements for assignment.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in oral and written formats.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning and implementation of development/educational curriculum and lesson plans.
• Maintain a healthy learning environment and safety practices.
• Lead and participate in creative activities promoting physical, cognitive, social and emotional development.
• Assist with record keeping, inventories, and resource reports.
