Banner Health Torrington is seeking a Child Development Associate for a PRN varied shift to support a caring, educational program for a group of children at Torrington Community Hospital. You will help plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and promote a safe, engaging classroom.

This role requires teamwork, adaptability to daily changes, and a love for working with children. A high school diploma is required, 18+ years of age, with one year of experience preferred.

This is a PRN Varied Shift role, shifts would be anywhere from Monday‑Friday 6:00am‑7:00pm andwill help to cover breaks, vacation time, and high‑volume times. Community Hospital in Torrington, Wyo.is a 25‑bed critical access hospital. POSITION SUMMARY

This position assists in the care of a group of children at a singularsite. This position assistswith the planning and implementationof a development/educational program for a program or child care center according to established parameters.

CORE FUNCTIONS

• Assists senior staff with planning and implementation of the development/educational curriculum, lesson plansandprograms in the individual classroom/playroom toensure a well run, purposeful program that meets departmental goals and is responsive to participant needs.
• Assists with the promotion and maintenance of a healthy learning environment that minimizes potential and actual injury. Cleans and maintains toys and materials. Demonstrateshealth and safety practices.
• Assists with planning and leading creative activities that promote physical, intellectual, social and emotional competence of the enrolled children. Participates in the social development of young children.
• Participates inother various activities which may consist of record keeping, maintaining inventories and ordering or reporting needed resources. Assists children and parentsas necessary.
• This position works underregular supervision from senior staff. This position may have frequent interaction with employees/physicians and their family members, patients/residents, visitors, community agencies and vendors.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• The position also requires skills and abilities typically gained through one year of experiencein workingwith children.
• Must comply with applicable registration regulations and health requirements for assignment.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats.
• Must demonstrate responsibility, flexibility and sensitivity to children.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working with young childrenfrom birth to age five in classroom setting.
• An Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Early Childhood Special Education that encompass the following: child development and learning of children birth through kindergarten; family and community relationships; observing, documenting and assessing young children; teaching and learning; and professional practices and development, including relevant field‑based experience, from an accredited institution.
• Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
