Job summary

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms and ensure sterile instruments and supplies are available.
• Maintain a sterile field during procedures and adhere to aseptic techniques.
• Anticipate needs of the surgical team and provide instruments as requested.
• Assist in patient positioning and draping.
• Handle specimens and instruments per established protocols.
• Sterilize and clean instruments after procedures and document usage.
• Maintain accurate records of procedures and supplies used.
• Follow hospital policies on patient care and infection control.
• Communicate effectively with the surgical team and participate in continuing education.
