Mercy Hospital Springfield is seeking an Anatomic Pathology Lab Support Technician II (LST II) - PRN to support laboratory reports, data management, specimen processing, and scheduling. The role emphasizes accurate, timely lab support while upholding Mercy Service Standards and HIPAA confidentiality.

The LST II performs specimen collection, labeling, processing, and transfer using safe, professional methods, contributing to reliable lab workflows and quality patient care.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months phlebotomy or clinical lab experience OR completion of a clinical training program.
• Must complete facility competencies, including checklists and written exams.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Basic computer proficiency and data management skills.

Responsabilidades

• Specimen collection and laboratory support.
• Label, process, and transfer specimens according to standards.
• Perform specimen referral and processing for testing.
• Support laboratory specialty areas as needed.
• Ensure confidential handling of patient information and results.
• Assist with post-analytical result processing and billing issues.
