Baker Tilly US is seeking a Tax Manager to join its Private Wealth/PCS team in Northern California. You will deliver tax compliance and advisory services to high-net-worth individuals, families, and their private businesses, working closely with firm leadership to drive client outcomes.

You will mentor staff, develop client relationships, and contribute to the growth of the team while enjoying flexible scheduling and a client‑focused, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree required
• Master's or advanced degree preferred
• CPA, Law License, or Enrolled Agent required
• Five (5) years of experience providing tax compliance, accounting and advisory services in a professional services firm
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates
• Prefer candidates with experience in Private Wealth/Private Client Services
• Demonstrated management, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, communication skills
• Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing compliance and consulting services to high-net-worth individuals, multi-generational affluent families, family offices and their private businesses and/or investment entities
• Perform complex individual, partnership, S-corp, trust, estate, gift and state tax returns
• Work on multiple engagements that deliver proactive tax planning and strategic consulting including federal estate, gift, charitable planning and generation skipping tax
• Build on technical competence by keeping up-to-date on trends, developments and technical authorities and apply them to complex situations
• Learn and grow from direct and on the job coaching and mentoring along with participating in firm wide learning and development programs
• Utilize your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally with clients
• Support the growth and development of team members
