Job summary

Baker Tilly US, LLP in Northern California is seeking a Tax Manager to join our Private Wealth/PCS team. You will deliver tax compliance and business advisory services to high-net-worth individuals and family offices, collaborating with leadership to drive client outcomes and firm growth.

You will mentor staff, manage multiple engagements, and apply deep knowledge of estate, gift, and generation-skipping tax planning while upholding the highest professional standards.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree required.
• Master's or advanced degree preferred.
• CPA, Law License, or Enrolled Agent required.
• Five (5) years of experience providing tax compliance, accounting and advisory services in a professional services firm.
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates.
• Experience in Private Wealth/Private Client Services preferred.
• Demonstrated management, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide compliance and consulting services to high-net-worth individuals, multi-generational families, family offices and their private businesses and/or investment entities.
• Perform complex individual, partnership, S-corp, trust, estate, gift and state tax returns.
• Engage in proactive tax planning and strategic consulting including estate, gift, charitable planning and generation-skipping tax.
• Mentor and develop staff; participate in firm-wide learning and development programs.
• Build relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver value and growth.
