Baker Tilly is seeking a Tax Manager for our Private Wealth/PCS team in NorCal. You will deliver tax compliance and advisory services to individuals and small businesses, working closely with firm leadership to serve clients and drive growth.

As a valued advisor, you will mentor staff, develop technical and professional skills, and help expand our trusted guidance to clients. The role offers growth opportunities and flexibility in how work is completed.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree required.
• Master’s or advanced degree preferred.
• CPA, Law License, or Enrolled Agent required.
• Five (5) years of experience providing tax compliance, accounting and advisory services in a professional services firm.
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates.
• Prefer candidates with experience in Private Wealth/Private Client Services.
• Demonstrated management, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, communication skills.
• Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, stay current with applicable strategies, and uphold ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing compliance and consulting services to high-net-worth individuals, multi-generational affluent families, family offices and their private businesses and/or investment entities.
• Perform complex individual, partnership, S-corp, trust, estate, gift and state tax returns.
• Deliver proactive tax planning and strategic consulting including federal estate, gift, charitable planning and generation skipping tax.
• Build technical competence by staying up-to-date on trends and authorities and apply to complex situations.
• Learn and grow from direct coaching and mentoring along with firm-wide learning programs.
• Network and build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
