Job summary

Goldman Sachs GBM Private Non-Financial Risk Management seeks a professional to support risk strategy and controls across the private franchise. You will monitor risk, drive improvements, and collaborate with Front Office, Operations and Engineering to raise the bar on risk governance.

The role emphasizes analytics, automation and AI-enabled monitoring, with opportunities to influence incidents, reporting and control enhancements across the organization.

Qualifications

• Experience within non-financial risk disciplines preferred.
• Strong risk and control mindset with a genuine curiosity and passion for understanding how risks arise and how controls can be improved.
• Strong analytical skills, willing and able to learn new business and system processes quickly.
• Team-oriented with a solid sense of ownership and accountability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Risk Analytics – monitor and report on key risk metrics (via KRI’s/KPI’s), highlighting concerns and remediation efforts.
• Help drive risk meetings; prepare risk management conclusions and present to GBM senior management.
• Probe incidents and assess residual risks with business units after issues are identified and resolved.
• Conduct risk reviews in areas of concern and recommend improvements to close control gaps.
• Challenge the risk and control framework to enhance the control environment across units.
• Identify automation solutions and explore AI/machine learning to streamline risk processes.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Operations and Engineering to share initiatives and develop integrated risk solutions.
• Establish trusted partnerships with peers, functional leads, and executives.
