Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking a Model Risk Management professional to lead the firmwide AI risk governance within the MRM function. The role focuses on overseeing AI risk, inventory management, and cross-functional collaboration with Legal, Compliance, and Engineering.

Candidates will bring 3+ years in financial services, strong project management, and Python knowledge, to help design scalable controls, assess model risk, and engage regulators on AI-related matters across the firm.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience, preferably in financial services and with working knowledge of AI.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Comfort operating in areas of evolving regulation and limited precedent.
• Programming skills preferred (e.g., Python).

Responsibilities

• Play a central role in shaping firmwide AI risk management oversight and governance.
• Owning the firmwide view of AI usage, enabling senior leadership to understand risk posture, trends, and emerging concentrations.
• Design, maintain, and evolve the firmwide AI governance framework, liaising with Legal, Compliance, and Engineering to translate regulatory expectations into practical controls.
• Liaise with technology teams to design scalable infrastructure for AI inventory management and AI risk assessment workflows.
• Manage and coordinate engagement with regulators, helping shape external understanding of the firm’s risk management approach.
