Job summary

Canoe Intelligence in New York City is seeking a Data Analyst for Private Markets to join the Data Operations Team. You will apply your expertise in private market data to build, define, and execute data and service offerings while supporting day-to-day operations and ensuring data quality.

You will work with senior staff to manage delivery through onshore and offshore teams, influence product roadmap discussions, and own core functionality to improve service delivery and operations.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in fund operations, fund administration, private market data, or related financial services roles.
• Familiarity with asset-level data (cost basis, valuations, operating metrics), capital calls, distributions, and fund financial statements.
• Process-oriented and organized with ability to self-manage in remote or hybrid work.
• Attention to detail and data accuracy as foundation of work.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills across teams/time zones.

Responsibilities

• Support Document Processing Workflows: intake, review, and processing of LP documents (Capital Account Statements, PCAPs, Call/Distribution Notices).
• Monitor automated outputs, identify processing exceptions or anomalies, and coordinate with senior operations staff to resolve issues.
• Reconcile extraction data against source documents and maintain high standards across client deliverables.
• Become a go-to SME for private market data points and support data manipulation and enrichment.
• Champion best practices, perform quality checks, and drive consistency across the team.
• Analyze data trends to inform product and service offerings and identify automation opportunities.
• Collaborate with Data, Product, and Engineering teams to communicate operational needs and flag systemic issues.
• Support offshore coordination and prepare operational summaries and data quality reports for clients.
