Job summary

Black Dragon Capital seeks an experienced Personal Controller/CFO to oversee the full scope of a principal’s personal financial affairs in a private office setting. This role combines controller rigor with strategic CFO judgment, handling bookkeeping, statements, cash flow, tax coordination, insurance, and estate matters with outside advisors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA and/or CFP strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in a family office, personal CFO/controller, private wealth, or public accounting role.
• Strong working knowledge of personal bookkeeping and financial statement preparation (QuickBooks proficiency required).
• Familiarity with trust structures, estate planning concepts, and working alongside trust and estate counsel.
• Excellent cash flow modeling and forecasting skills, including illiquid, capital-call-driven liquidity profiles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive personal financial plan covering liquidity needs and long-term wealth objectives.
• Model net worth, cash flow projections, and liquidity scenarios tied to fund capital calls and co-investments.
• Prepare periodic personal financial statements for the principal and lenders or advisors.
• Coordinate with CPAs, tax counsel, and attorneys on filings and planning strategies.
• Oversee insurance programs and monitor trust and estate administration support.
• Own the personal cash management process and optimize liquidity across accounts.
• Manage relationships with banks, lenders, and wealth managers; arrange financing as needed.
