Job summary

StepStone is seeking motivated undergraduates graduating between December 2027 and June 2028 to join our Private Equity team as Summer Analysts in San Diego. The internship offers hands‑on experience analyzing leveraged buyouts, growth investments, and secondaries while exposing you to diverse industries and capital structures.

As a Summer Analyst, you will perform due diligence, build financial models, prepare investment memorandums, and present recommendations to the Investment Committee.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student.
• Graduating December 2027 to June 2028.
• GPA of 3.5 or higher required.
• Strong MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong quantitative skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct due diligence on potential investments and co‑investments.
• Build and update financial models for investment opportunities.
• Prepare investment memorandums and present to Investment Committee.
• Support portfolio research and macroeconomic analysis across sectors and geographies.
