Job summary

White & Case LLP invites a midlevel M&A associate with private equity experience to join the Corporate/PE practice in our New York office. You will advise sponsors and portfolio companies on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, JVs, restructurings, and general corporate matters.

You should combine excellent academics with commercial acumen, and possess strong drafting, writing, analytical, and project management skills. Expect collaboration across teams and targeted client service.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of predominantly private equity experience.
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to the New York bar (or ability to become admitted) and in good standing.
• Strong academic record and intellectual curiosity, with commercial mindset.

Responsibilities

• Represent private equity sponsors in M&A transactions and related deals.
• Draft and negotiate complex transaction documents.
• Supervise and train junior associates involved in transactions.
• Manage the execution of deals from inception to closing.
• Provide strategic legal advice to sponsors and portfolio companies.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure smooth transaction processes.
