Job summary

White & Case LLP is seeking a midlevel associate with private equity experience to join the M&A Corporate / PE practice in New York. You will advise sponsors and portfolio companies on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, JVs, and restructurings, handling complex deal documents and senior-portfolio interactions.

Ideal candidates possess a strong academic record, excellent drafting and analytical skills, and commercial awareness.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of predominantly private equity experience
• JD from an accredited law school
• Admitted to the New York Bar or ability to become admitted
• Excellent drafting, writing and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and project management
• Fluency in English and strong client service focus

Responsibilities

• Represent private equity sponsors in M&A transactions and other investment deals.
• Draft and negotiate complex transaction documents.
• Supervise and train junior associates involved in transactions.
• Manage the execution of deals from inception to closing.
• Provide strategic legal advice to private equity sponsors and portfolio companies.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure smooth transaction processes
