Job summary

White & Case in New York seeks a midlevel associate with private equity experience to join the M&A Corporate / PE practice in our NY office. This role will advise sponsors and their portfolio companies in connection with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, JVs, corporate restructurings, and general corporate matters.

Ideal candidates should have 4+ years of predominantly private equity experience, a JD from an accredited law school, admission to the New York bar, and strong drafting, writing

• 4+ years of predominantly private equity experience.
• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to the New York bar, in good standing.
• Strong drafting, writing, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent private equity sponsors in M&A and related transactions.
• Draft and negotiate complex transaction documents.
• Supervise and train junior associates on deals.
• Manage execution of deals from inception to closing.
• Provide strategic legal advice to sponsors and portfolio companies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth processes.
