Job summary

White & Case LLP seeks a midlevel associate with private equity experience to join the M&A Corporate / PE practice in New York. You will advise sponsors and portfolio companies on mergers, divestitures, JVs and restructurings, drafting and negotiating agreements with a focus on private equity deals.

Ideal candidates will have excellent drafting, writing, and analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple transactions while maintaining client service and

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school (LLM or foreign equivalent acceptable)
• Admitted to the New York bar (or eligible) in good standing
• Strong academic record and intellectual curiosity
• Commercial and business awareness
• Outstanding communication skills
• Strong time management and ability to juggle multiple projects
• Excellent drafting skills
• Proactive, self-starter with professional presence
• Fluency in English

Responsibilities

• Represent private equity sponsors in M&A transactions and related deals
• Draft and negotiate complex transaction documents
• Supervise and train junior associates on transactions
• Manage execution of deals from inception to closing
• Provide strategic legal advice to sponsors and portfolio companies
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients for smooth processes
