Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Fund Accountant to support accounting and financial reporting for private equity funds and related entities in a collaborative investment management environment.

The role requires 3-5 years of accounting experience, with private equity or fund accounting emphasis. You will work with Finance, Operations, Investor Relations, and other teams, gaining broad exposure to funds and complex investments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3-5 years of accounting experience.
• Private equity, fund accounting, or alternative asset management experience strongly preferred.
• Real estate investment or real estate fund experience is a plus, but not required.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience preparing financial statements and performing general ledger reconciliations.
• Exposure to capital calls, distributions, investor reporting, and partnership accounting preferred.
• Experience working with multiple funds, entities, or complex organizational structures.
• Advanced Excel skills; CPA or progress toward CPA preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accounting records and general ledger activity for funds and related entities.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under U.S. GAAP.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support capital calls, distributions, investor activity, and related reporting.
• Assist with fund-level financial reporting and supporting schedules.
• Work across multiple funds, entities, and complex structures.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external providers as needed.
• Support annual audits, tax preparation, and other financial reporting requirements.
• Review accounting activity for accuracy and proper documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and controls.
• Assist with special projects and financial analysis as needed.
