Abacus Group, LLC seeks a Private Equity Fund Accountant for its Manhattan, NY office. The role involves managing fund financial reporting for private investments, including domestic and international entities, and ensuring compliance with firm policies.

The candidate will oversee investment transaction accounting, provide technical accounting guidance, and support valuation reviews, IRR calculations, and waterfall analyses across a diversified portfolio.

Qualificações

• 3-5 years of fund accounting experience.
• Experience working at a public accounting firm.
• Private equity or hedge fund experience required.
• Real estate or credit experience is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Manage internal and external financial reporting for private investments, including accounting for domestic and international investment entities.
• Oversee accounting activities related to investment transactions while ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Provide technical accounting guidance and serve as a resource on complex accounting matters across the organization.
• Execute fund accounting activities, including reconciliations, valuations, capital calls, distributions, NAV reviews, consolidations, and investment accounting support.
• Review the performance and accuracy of third‑party administrators and other service providers to ensure timely and reliable financial reporting.
• Analyze financial data and reporting processes to identify opportunities for enhanced insights, efficiency, and operational improvements.
• Produce accurate daily, monthly, and quarterly financial reporting deliverables while maintaining the integrity of accounting records.
• Collaborate with Operations, Tax, and other internal teams to review investment activity, investigate discrepancies, and resolve accounting issues.
• Evaluate accounting workflows, system functionality, and transaction processing to recommend process enhancements and automation opportunities.
• Support investment valuation reviews, performance reporting, IRR calculations, and waterfall analyses across a diversified investment portfolio.
