DLA Piper LLP seeks private equity associates for its San Francisco or Palo Alto offices. The role focuses on advising strategic buyers/sellers or PE firms on M&A matters in a fast-growing market. Ideal candidates have 3–6 years of PE/M&A experience at a leading firm and strong academic credentials.

Responsibilities include researching, drafting, transaction management, and client interaction. The position offers a hybrid work model and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualificações

• JD degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in California.
• 3–6 years of private equity experience at a leading AmLaw 100 firm preferred.
• Superior academic credentials and excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilidades

• Legal Research: conduct thorough legal research to support transaction strategy.
• Legal Writing: draft memos, contracts, and correspondence.
• Transaction Assistance and Management: manage complex transactions from inception to closing.
• Internal/External Client Interaction: build and maintain client relationships with professionalism.
• Collaboration: work with other lawyers and business professionals on transaction strategies.
• Attend/participate in client calls and negotiations.
• Compliance: ensure rigorous compliance with legal standards and regulations.
• Professional Development: pursue ongoing training to enhance knowledge and skills.
• Firm Citizenship/Pro bono: engage in firm programs and community initiatives.
