Job summary

Aveanna Healthcare in Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for night and weekend shifts to support in-home patient care across Austin-area communities. You will follow care plans, document care, and collaborate with physicians and families to ensure quality outcomes.

We offer flexible scheduling (FT/PT/PRN), comprehensive benefits, paid training, 24/7 local support, and opportunities for skill advancement. Travel to patient homes is required, with electronic documentation via a tablet.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• TB skin test updated within 12 months.
• Six months nursing experience preferred but not required.
• Reliable transportation to patient homes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and coordinate quality patient care per physician orders.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to supervisor/physician.
• Document nursing activities, assessments and care in the chart.
• Develop, implement and update the nursing care plan.
• Provide care with infection control and OSHA standards.
• Educate patient and family on disease, self-care and prevention.
• Maintain nursing competencies through ongoing education.
