Job summary

East Palestine Elementary School is seeking a Private Duty Nurse to care for a 15-year-old with a trach and vent in Phoenix, MD. The role involves working one-on-one in the client’s home, performing assessments, administering medications, and documenting care.

Shifts include Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with overtime pay and full benefit eligibility after probation. Applicants must hold an active Maryland or compact nursing license (LPN or RN) and CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Active/unrestricted nursing license in Maryland or Multistate compact (LPN or RN).
• Valid CPR/BLS certification.
• Confidence to work independently.
• Basic knowledge of G-tube/Trach care; willing to train qualified candidates.
• Vent experience preferred; willing to train.
• Pediatric experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one in the client’s home.
• Complete nursing assessment.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the Plan of Care.
• Document nursing notes clearly and concisely.

Private Duty Nurse for a 15 year old male with a trach & vent in Phoenix, MD.

The following shift(s) are available for this case:

Monday thru Friday: 8A-4:30P

Job Responsibilities:

• Working one-on-one in the client's home
• Complete nursing assessment
• Administer medication & and treatments as prescribed by the patient's Plan of Care
• Document nursing notes in a clear and concise manner

Job Requirements:

• Active/unrestricted nursing license in the State of Maryland or Multistate compact license - Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse
• Valid CPR/BLS certification
• Confidence to work independently
• Basic knowledge of G-tube/Trach care is preferred; however, willing to train qualified and interested candidates.
• Vent experience preferred (willing to train qualified candidates)
• Pediatric experience a plus

Benefits/Salary Information:

• Pay Range: $26-42 per hour. Pay rates are determined by licensure, skills, experience, and varies per case.
• Employees will receive time and a half pay for working beyond 40 hours in a week.
• Health, dental, and vision insurance are available after 90 days of continuous full-time employment
