Job summary

Audax Private Debt, based in New York, seeks an Associate to support underwriting of first lien senior secured loans and monitor portfolio companies across its portfolios. The role offers exposure to the full investment cycle, including transaction evaluation, due diligence, financial modeling, deal execution, portfolio management, and investment committee processes.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in investment banking, private credit, or related fields, with strong financial modeling skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2–4 years of experience in investment banking, direct lending, private credit, structured credit, leveraged finance, or related field.
• Experience developing and utilizing detailed financial models.
• LBO/ sponsor transaction exposure.
• Experience analyzing leveraged transactions and corporate credit risk preferred.
• Experience with credit committee exposure and investment memo preparation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investment Underwriting & Due Diligence: Analyze and evaluate investment opportunities in sponsor-backed leveraged buyout transactions.
• Deal Execution & Investment Committee Process: Prepare investment memoranda and materials for investment committee.
• Portfolio Management & Monitoring: Monitor portfolio performance, amendments, waivers, and market developments.
