Job summary

Audax Private Debt, based in New York, is seeking an Associate to support underwriting and portfolio monitoring across its private debt portfolios. You will work on transaction evaluation, due diligence, financial modeling, deal execution, and investment committee processes from a collaborative, entrepreneurial team.

This role provides exposure to the full investment lifecycle, with opportunities to develop expertise in credit underwriting, industry research, debt structuring, and portfolio

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in investment banking, direct lending, private credit, structured credit, leveraged finance, or related field.
• Track record of building and using detailed financial models.
• Experience with LBO/sponsor transactions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate investment opportunities supporting sponsor-backed leveraged buyouts.
• Conduct industry, market, customer, and competitive analyses to assess opportunities.
• Build and maintain complex financial models including forecasting, leverage, liquidity, and downside analyses.
• Prepare investment memoranda and communicate credit views to investment committee.
