Job summary

BDO in Minneapolis seeks a Tax Senior Manager, Private Client Services, to lead tax compliance and consulting for high net-worth clients. The role emphasizes executive presence, client relationship management, and technical excellence across estates, trusts, and related areas.

You will supervise associates, review complex returns, and collaborate with government agencies, while contributing to business development and staff development within PCS.

Qualifications

• Seven (7) or more years of experience in accounting, finance, or law.
• Experience in the private client service area is required.
• Prior supervisory experience is required.
• Experience in public accounting is preferred.
• CPA/EA/Attorney or equivalent designation required
• Experience with tax compliance and consulting for high net-worth clients

Responsibilities

• Manages tax and consulting engagements and identifies client needs and opportunities
• Acts as primary client contact for preparation and presentation of issues
• Reviews complex returns across individuals, trusts, estates, S-Corps, foundations, partnerships
• Directs communication with government agencies on high-complexity matters
• Performs advanced tax research and develops recommendations for PCS leadership and clients
• Expands knowledge through client engagements and current tax developments
• Prioritizes workload to keep engagements on track
• Assists with PCS/firm contributions including billing and training
• Builds relationships with clients and external sources
