Job summary

Family Dollar Chesapeake is seeking a detailed oriented Associate Business Manager to drive Private Brand sales and margin in Consumables. You will partner with the Business Manager to execute item development, manage timelines across artwork, quality, and sourcing, and guide supplier collaborations to optimize assortment and in-store execution.

You will lead category reviews, analyze share and penetration, and support marketing plans to boost trial and awareness of our brands.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required, business or marketing preferred.
Minimum 2 years experience in CPG/grocery/value channel; retail preferred.
Experience leading teams and influencing change.
Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Partner with Business Manager to set category strategy and goals.
Assist in development of category business plans including analysis of share and penetration.
Assist with competitive store visit analysis and supplier follow-up.
Lead Private Brand product development timelines with Merchandising, Private Brands, and Quality & Regulatory.
Coordinate with suppliers to set up new items and ensure artwork, materials, and timing.
Manage new item development to hit distribution centers for store resets.
Attend weekly meetings and resolve inventory/service issues.
Support marketing plans to drive trial and awareness of brands.
Collaborate with analytics, Daymon, and sourcing teams on bids and actions.
