Position Overview

Under functional guidance, responsible for leading a professional services lending vertical; will lead a team of Private Bankers, providing financial expertise on products and services to high-net-worth clients and businesses, with a focus on lending to professional service clients. This leader will identify new opportunities, acquire new business, and collaborate with private banking executives across regions to expand and deepen client relationships, primarily focusing on professional services. The role involves facilitating the transfer of client relationships to the appropriate relationship managers, working closely with sales and relationship management leaders across business lines to develop new relationships and offer comprehensive financial solutions, aiming to grow deposits, loans, fee income, and assets.

This position requires a credit check per 12 CFR Chapter X, Part 1026, Truth in Lending, Regulation Z.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Operate in full compliance with internal policies, procedures, and applicable regulations, including maintaining S.A.F.E Act registration requirements.
  2. Generate new business through community engagement, developing centers of influence, and maintaining existing client relationships, with a focus on professional services lending.
  3. Achieve profitable growth in loans and deposits via lead generation and client outreach, including travel across the bank's footprint.
  4. Lead and motivate the team to achieve results, manage performance, and foster a client-focused service culture.
  5. Oversee the Private Banking business development efforts aligned with the company's strategic plan.
  6. Identify and refer business opportunities to other banking divisions, promoting cross-selling of bank products and services.
  7. Serve as a strategic thought leader for Private Wealth, contributing to business planning and innovation.
  8. Provide risk management oversight and promote a culture of compliance within the team.
  9. Offer financial advice to clients regarding industry trends and banking conditions.
  10. Participate in special projects requiring leadership, analytical skills, and effective time management.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in banking, commercial/professional lending, financial planning, or investments, with proven asset-gathering ability.
  • Experience serving high-net-worth clients and comprehensive knowledge of banking products and business development.
Preferred Certifications
  • CWS-Certified Wealth Strategist
  • CFP-Certified Financial Planner
  • CTFA-Certified Trust and Financial Advisor
