Private Banking Group Manager Professional Services

Position Overview: Under functional guidance, responsible for leading a professional services lending vertical; leading a team of Private Bankers, providing financial expertise to high-net-worth clients and businesses, with a focus on lending to professional service clients. This role involves uncovering new opportunities, winning new business, and partnering with private banking executives across the region to expand and deepen client relationships. The position may not be the direct relationship manager but ensures smooth transfer to the appropriate resource. Collaboration with sales and relationship management teams is essential to develop new relationships and offer comprehensive financial solutions. Responsibilities also include building deposits, loans, fee income, and overall asset growth by acting as a resource hub across Associated Bank.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure full compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, and laws, including S.A.F.E. Act requirements.
  • Initiate new business opportunities through community involvement, developing new contacts, and maintaining existing client relationships, especially in professional services lending.
  • Drive profitable loan and deposit growth via lead generation and client outreach, including travel across the bank's footprint.
  • Lead and motivate the team, establish goals, manage performance, and develop team members.
  • Manage business development activities aligned with the company's strategic plan for the professional services vertical.
  • Refer clients to other bank divisions and cross-sell bank products and services.
  • Act as a strategic leader within Private Wealth for the professional services vertical, contributing to business planning and innovation.
  • Oversee risk management and credit administration, fostering a culture of compliance and providing counsel on credit portfolio issues.
  • Provide financial advice to clients based on market trends and banking conditions.
  • Participate in projects requiring leadership, analytical skills, and effective time management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 7+ years in banking, commercial/professional lending, financial planning, or investments, with proven asset growth capabilities.
  • Experience with high-net-worth clients and comprehensive banking products.

Preferred Certifications:

  • CWS-Certified Wealth Strategist
  • CFP-Certified Financial Planner
  • CTFA-Certified Trust and Financial Advisor
