Job summary

Bank of America is hiring a Private Bank Global Compliance and Operational Risk Manager to provide front line oversight of fiduciary investment management risk. You will partner with CIO, ISG, and control partners to ensure effective risk management and adherence to policy.

The role involves engagement with governance committees, management, and control partners to credibly challenge and enforce risk programs across the business.

Qualifications

• Minimum seven years’ wealth management related experience or equivalent 2nd line risk/control background.
• Working knowledge of relevant laws and regulations (e.g., Reg 9, SEC, Reg W, FINRA).
• Bachelor’s Degree; MBA or JD is a plus, related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess risks and effectiveness of FLU processes and controls for regulatory compliance.
• Provide independent risk oversight of FLU/Control Function performance and third party/vendor relationships.
• Identify and escalate issues and drive root-cause actions to mitigate compliance risk.
• Manage inventory of processes, risks, controls, and metrics for risk appetite and violations.
• Develop independent risk reporting inputs for governance and management routines.
• Interpret laws and translate into clear, practical stakeholder guidance.
• Review FLU/CF processes and risk assessments and monitor regulatory changes.
