Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a seasoned senior professional to drive internal control discipline and operational excellence within Global Risk Management. The role partners with COO organizations on strategy, executes control procedures, and supports enterprise policy compliance to protect clients and assets.

You will lead QA activities, monitor controls, and coordinate remediation efforts while acting as a trusted advisor to the GRM organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in business controls and risk management
• Experience with process controls documentation and issue management
• Ability to monitor, test controls and report results
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
• Attention to detail and critical thinking
• Excellent written communications and decision making
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams

Responsibilities

• Oversees the design and effectiveness of the risk and control environment to support Client Operational Services and ensure adherence to enterprise‑wide standards
• Supports the monitoring and testing of controls by evaluating data to identify issues and control improvements for remediation
• Implements optimized controls and enhanced QA practices to support business continuity efforts
• Conducts quality inspection reviews to enhance employee performance and control effectiveness
• Performs QA activities including executing on controls, managing cases, and reporting results
• Executes initiatives by identifying opportunities for testing automation, procedural updates, and coaching to enhance QA program success
• Supports regulatory exams, internal audits, and monitoring reviews with data evaluation for dashboards
• Oversees critical business controls metrics and remediation plans across GRM programs
• Participates in audits as necessary
• Acts as trusted advisor to the GRM organization
• Drives execution of key control priorities across the division
• Performs outreach to participants and provides education
