Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Lead Data Privacy Engineer to advance enterprise privacy and data protection across data environments. You will design scalable privacy solutions, embed privacy-by-design, and collaborate with security, legal, and product teams to meet regulatory requirements.

In this role, you will lead assessments, implement PETs like encryption and anonymization, and drive governance and automation to safeguard sensitive data while enabling business innovation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Privacy Engineering, Security Engineering, Data Protection, Cybersecurity, or related disciplines.
• 5+ years designing and implementing enterprise data protection capabilities (encryption, tokenization, data classification, DLP, etc.).
• 5+ years hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, Go.
• 5+ years cloud/DevSecOps experience including CI/CD, IaC, privacy threat modeling, and security automation.
• 3+ years leading enterprise privacy/data protection initiatives with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and implementation of enterprise data protection and privacy engineering across data environments.
• Design, deploy, and optimize Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs) and data protection solutions.
• Partner with engineering, legal, compliance to embed privacy-by-design principles and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct privacy risk assessments, privacy impact assessments, threat modeling, and control evaluations.
• Drive governance metrics and continuous improvement of data protection programs.
