Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Privacy & Data Protection Intern to learn basics of privacy and data protection risks, assist with client projects and internal initiatives, and work with experienced professionals. You will conduct data privacy, data governance, or AI governance assessments, develop policies, implement privacy technology, and support managed service projects.

You’ll help operationalize client processes and controls.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Business Management, required
• Enrolled in an MBA or JD program, preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists with privacy maturity assessments based on regulations or frameworks
• Assists with Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) of client systems, vendors, or processing activities
• Supports managed service client tasks
• Documents client meetings to socialize outcomes with the team
• Contributes to developing client reports, findings, and recommendations
• Develops project deliverables for privacy projects
• Collects information for privacy processing registers and data inventories
• Performs research to ensure up-to-date privacy solutions are used
• Assists with budgeting time and monitoring multiple project tasks and risks
