The ideal candidate has JD/LLM/LLB and is fully qualified, with certifications like CIPP/US or CIPM. Responsibilities include incident response, data mapping, and advising on marketing/privacy policy issues.

Qualifications

• JD/LLM/LLB or an equivalent degree from an accredited university.
• Fully qualified lawyer.
• Industry certifications e.g. CIPP/US, CIPT, CIPM, AIGP (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice on data privacy and data protection matters.
• Support regional privacy compliance activities, including required notifications and filings.
• Advise on privacy aspects relating to employment and HR notices.
• Draft and maintain privacy notices, DPA, data sharing and HIPAA BAAs.
• Negotiate privacy terms with customers, vendors and third parties.
• Advise on marketing activities and privacy policy development.
• Support data subject requests, privacy incidents, mappings and mitigations.
• Participate in client/vendor meetings and regulatory inspections.
• Work with Office of the General Counsel to drive projects to completion.
• Travel up to 15% may be required.
