Job summary

NVIDIA seeks a Privacy Counsel to join our Legal team in Santa Clara, CA. You will help shape privacy governance and data protection across vendor contracts and data-sharing initiatives.

Responsibilities include reviewing DPAs, advising on regulatory compliance, and developing scalable privacy processes for cross-functional teams. A California-licensed attorney with 4+ years of privacy experience is preferred, with equity benefits offered.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree with strong academic performance.
• 4+ years of privacy law experience including vendor contracts/DPAs.
• California Bar license to practice law.
• Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and US state privacy laws.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with multitasking.
• Business-minded approach to legal risk and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Review vendor contracts and data processing agreements with focus on privacy, data use, and security.
• Support outbound data sharing arrangements with third parties and assess data transfer risks.
• Develop scalable processes and playbooks for vendor privacy reviews and third-party sharing.
• Consult with business partners on privacy considerations for new products and partnerships.
• Stay updated on privacy law developments, including GDPR and U.S. state laws, and advise accordingly.
• Collaborate with legal and privacy teams on governance issues and training materials.
• Grow into broader privacy and data governance responsibilities as the program evolves.
