Company Overview:
Clear Spring Health, part of Group 1001, aims to make insurance more useful, intuitive, and accessible, empowering everyone to achieve financial security. It provides Medicare Advantage plans in select states and Medicare Prescription Drug Plans across 42 states and DC.

The Privacy and Regulatory Paralegal supports legal and compliance matters related to privacy, cybersecurity, and health insurance regulations, working under the supervision of the Chief Legal Officer and Compliance Officer.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  1. Conduct Legal Research and Analysis: Research emerging laws, analyze relevant provisions, review documents, and guide stakeholders on compliance related to Medicare Advantage and health insurance.
  2. Report Monthly Compliance Updates: Create updates for stakeholders and leadership on privacy, data security, and insurance compliance.
  3. Develop Impact Assessments: Assist in privacy-related legal impact assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
  4. Build Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver privacy training, update policies, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  5. Project Management: Manage project trackers, generate reports, and coordinate with stakeholders.
  6. Other duties as assigned.

This is a full-time remote position, preferably based in the greater Chicago area, Charleston, SC, or Waltham, MA.

You will bring:

  • 5-7 years of experience supporting Privacy, Cyber, Regulatory, Medicare, and health insurance matters, either in a corporation or law firm.
  • Associate’s degree or Paralegal Certificate required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with SharePoint is required.
  • Familiarity with legal research databases like Bloomberg, LexisNexis.
  • Strong project management, attention to detail, judgment, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Curiosity and willingness to deepen understanding of Privacy, Cybersecurity, Regulatory, and Health Insurance laws.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).

Compensation ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, based on market and experience.
